Industrial After Dark, tampa
Thursday night I put together an "Industrial After Dark" trash the dress photo session for myself and a bunch of other talented Bay area photographers. A great time was had by all (in spite of the sweltering heat). We all met up at South Tampa's Rattlefish restaurant... had a little dinner, talked some shop and just generally got to know each other better. I'm a firm believer in networking, especially in such a referral-based industry as wedding photography.
After dinner we made our way to various locations around Tampa and shot with our volunteer model couple, Amanda and Josh. I met these two last fall when I shot their cousin's wedding and then a couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of doing a family portait shoot with them and their son, Jackson. They were easily the first couple that popped into my mind when organizing this event... it doesn't hurt that they look like they just walked out of Ralph Lauren ad.
A big thanks to all of the photographers who showed up... Philip Lloyd... Jason Angelini... and Linda Agosto. I hope y'all had fun.
And to Amanda and Josh, thanks for being such troopers, especially in the heat. I know standing around in a wedding dress and suit can be rather stifling. We appreciate it.
